The People Behind

A little background about Reach The Streets

Local Leadership - Ranil Korf

Ranil Korf leads the next chapter of Reach The Streets Curaçao, carrying a passion to see lives transformed by the Gospel and to unite churches and evangelists in their shared mission.

As new sparks of evangelism emerge in churches across Curaçao, the focus is on bringing training and equipping directly into local congregations. Together with evangelists from the interdenominational network, Ranil aims to equip, encourage, and mobilize believers to share the Gospel within their own communities.

The goal is to strengthen local churches while keeping the wider network connected, working together to reach Curaçao and beyond with the love of Jesus Christ.

The Founders - Jan-Peter & Lydia Boom

Reach The Streets began with Jan-Peter and Lydia Boom, a Dutch couple who left their familiar life behind to follow God’s calling to Curaçao. What started as a plan to sail around the Caribbean and sharing the gospel grew into a broader mission to share the Gospel, equip believers, and build a non-denominational network for evangelism and discipleship.

In December 2024, this vision became Reach The Streets. During their time on the island, Jan-Peter and Lydia brought believers from different churches together for evangelism training in public locations, including restaurants. This approach brought around 50 people together in an interdenominational network of evangelists and believers, laying a foundation for collaboration across churches.

In the summer of 2026, leadership was handed over to Ranil Korf and the local team, marking a new chapter in the ministry’s continued mission.

“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.’” Marc 16: 15-18 NIV
